*Aruna pauses a moment, watching the human walk away, then heads into the ship to help Crash get a start on repairs.*

*The rest of the day passed in a kind of half blur for Marc. He met with several potential employers, all of which seemed to wish to pay him the minimum. After the fifth man offered him little more than a handful of scanty coins for a job which all but guaranteed certain death, Marcastus called it a day. Enough was enough. Better quit while he was ahead, or more specifically, before he hit someone. He walked back along the docks and toward's the bay's exit*

*Aruna examined the shuttle's console and nodded in satisfaction.*
Crash, have you finished with patching the hyperdrive? *she questioned, just as the young Lorrdian walked into the room. Crash nodded.*
Yup. And I don't think we'll have to replace it either. *she replied.*
Good. *Aruna said.* It was hard enough buying what we did manage to get. We have very little money left now.
What will we do when that's gone? *Crash questioned, a hint of concern in her tone.*
*Aruna smiled reassuringly.* Don't worry. I'll think of something.

*Marcastus' pace slowed as he nears Aruna's ship. He glances over it noting its repairs but it is evident that he was not going to linger long. The flood of incoming and outgrowing dock traffic was unceasing despite the late hour as more traders arrived or left on various errands of their own. The air is filled with the customary scent of ship exhaust and human sweat* ((Pardon, that was a pretty darn awful post, but nothing's coming to mind.))

((You are very welcome. Here are the new characters joining the fun. ;D )) *A battered looking freighter flew into the docking bay. It landed carefully in it's assigned landing pad.* ((Inside the freighter)) *A young man with spiky brown hair was steering the ship. As he landed the ship, he pressed the ship's intercom.* Hey Boss, we're here. *he said. Behind him, monitoring various stations, was the ship's engineer. She watched the particular station she was at that moment, then glanced up as the captain entered the cockpit.* Rona, Tam, prepare the cargo. I'm going to go meet our client, make sure he hasn't backed out of the bargain or anything. *Maeve said.* All right. *Rowena and Tam chorused. Tam unstrapped himself from the pilot's chair and the pair headed out of the room and down to the cargo hold. Maeve exited the ship to go speak with her client.*

*With the swift precision and efficiency of experience, Rowena and Tam prepared the cargo to be transported to the ship of their client. Tam was humming under his breath as he worked, occasionally breaking into song. Rowena worked in silence, wanting to finish quickly so she could check on one of the stations. It seemed to have been malfunctioning and she wanted to get a closer look at it to see what was wrong. As she worked, her mind ran over several possible reasons it was malfunctioning.* ~*~*~ *Maeve walked slowly through the docking bay. The Wanderer's captain was alert, covertly glancing about her warily. She was watchful for any port authorities who might possibly be suspicious of her cargo and wary of those who might want to steal it. For now, the ship was safe. Between the many internal and external defenses Rowena had rigged up for the ship and the fact that Rowena and Tam were now with the cargo, things were fairly safe. The pair were both very capable of protecting the ship and cargo. Maeve was a little more worried for herself. She was not afraid, but merely concerned that some thief might get a hold of her and try to force Rowena and Tam to give up the cargo. Maeve would rather risk getting caught and having her crew get away with the cargo rather than having it stolen and facing almost certain death at the hands of her current employer.* We'd better make enough money off this so we can go back to being independent. *Maeve thought, scowling at the thought of her demanding employer.* ~*~*~ *Aruna was checking beneath one of the wings of the shuttle when Maeve passed by. She would not have even bothered looking up at yet another human passing by, but the feelings coming from the woman made Aruna pause. She peered out from under the wing and glanced curiously at a blonde-haired woman who stalked past. The Twi'lek was curious, wondering what was causing the woman's anger. Shrugging slightly and deciding it was none of her business, she returned to her repair work.*

((Just a heads-up, bell just rang, so this is going to be the shortest post ever. ;D )) *Marcastus watched as the various crew members worked on the ship, piecing it back together until it looked almost space-worthy once again.* ((I warned ya. ;D ))

*Rowena stood back and gazed at their handiwork.* Looks good to me. *she said to her companion. Tam nodded.* Now we just have to wait for the Boss t'get back. *he replied.* ~*~*~ *Maeve entered a sparsely lit part of the dock that housed a bar and gambling area. She was extra alert here. The slender blonde glanced around, wanting to find her client as quickly as possible and get out of this place. She hated bars with a passion and gambling even more, but sometimes business led to these places and she had no choice but to enter dumps like this. Maeve was tempted to wrinkle her nose in distaste at the various smells that wafted on the air, but managed to keep her face expressionles. Just when she thought she couldn't stand the place any longer, she spotted her client. Moving carefully through the crowd, she headed towards him.* ~*~*~ *Crash exited the shuttle she and Aruna had arrived in and found the older Jedi still underneath one of the shuttle's wings, fixing it.* How's it coming? *she questioned.* Well enough. *Aruna replied. Even as she spoke, her mind was mulling over the woman that had passed earlier. An idea was beginning to form, but she would not speak of it yet.* We should be space-worthy by whatever equates to morning here. ((LOL! I have seen smaller before, though.))

((Now that's hard to believe. )) I have better things to do here than waste my time watching an unknown crew reapir an unknown ship *Marc thought to himself.* I have a meeting soon to go to, a meal for an old friend that I promised him a long time ago...In other words, I have people to meet, places to go, things to do...so why am I standing around here like this?
